Applications are submitted exclusively on an online platform (Fenix), and you should consider the following options depending on your situation:

• FA.ULisboa student/alumni candidates who hold an ULisboa account (Fenix ​​access username and password), must access Fenix and through the "candidate" menu start the application process. If you do not remember your access password, you must recover access HERE.
• Candidates external to FA.ULisboa and former FA.ULisboa students who do not hold a campus account must create a user account Fenix ​​HERE.

*Through Order No. 5/2023, a deposit amount of €300.00 is set for booking a place. Failure to pay within the established deadlines implies the loss of a vacancy, which will be made available in the next phase of applications. When enrolling/enrolling in the course, the amount paid as a deposit will revert to the amount due as a tuition fee, being deducted from the first instalment.

(Note: There are advantages in submitting an application in the 1st phase, namely the possibility of applying for a grant from the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia - FCT.)

Following paragraph 1 of Article 30 of Decree-Law nº. 65/2018 of 16 August, the following can apply for access to the cycle of studies leading to a doctoral degree:

     > Holders of a master's degree or legal equivalent;

     > Holders of a bachelor's degree, with a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum that is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the legally and statutorily competent scientific body of the university or university institute where they intend to be admitted;

     > Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the legally and statutorily competent scientific body of the university or university institute where they intend to be admitted.

The following documents must be attached to the application form:

. Letter of interest;

. Curriculum Vitae – Professional/Academic;

. Certificate of Qualifications (proof of academic degree(s)), must be endorsed by the consular service or presented with the Hague Apostille affixed by the competent authority of the State where the document originates and, whenever not issued in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish, they must be translated into one of these languages;

. Copy of identification document or, alternatively, filling out a personal identification declaration form;

. Portfolio (mandatory in applications to the PhD Course in Design)

. Other documents that the candidate considers relevant for the evaluation of the respective application (optional);

. Proof of payment (after application submission).
